AACK!

I am WAY behind in grading your work. Lest you think I've been sitting around eating bon bons, you should know that the past two days I've been out of the office at all-day mini-conferences, talking about library cataloging, authority control, discovery tools, electronic resources management, and other things that have made my eyes glaze over. I've been logging into D2L during breaks to look for messages from you and respond to emails.

My agenda for tomorrow: get up, get my kids off to school, get to work, GRADE PAPERS until 3, and then I have a 3 hour Academic Council meeting. Academic Council is the committee made up of faculty and administrators that reviews and approves or rejects all new proposed courses and awards. After Academic Council, I have to go to a parent information meeting for a program one of my sons wants to participate in (Environmental Camp; anyone have kids go to that?). After I get home from that meeting, I will eat something then probably collapse in a heap. Do you care? Probably not, but I wanted you to have some idea of what your instructors are up to when they're not getting back to you as fast as you'd like (and as fast as we'd like, sometimes).
