I finished 55th out of 98 in my division (females 40-44), with a final time of 38:54. It was a lot of fun. This morning, we went out to Mile 8 to cheer on the marathon runners. Anyone run in any of the weekend races?
This blog is a community place for sharing between myself and my students. If you're a student coming here, sometimes information here will be for your class, sometimes for another. I will tag anything that is for a specific course with the designator INFS or LIBT and the course number (INFS1000, LIBT2200, etc.), so if you want to find posts that are only for your course, then you can use the labels/tags to limit to your course number. Please add your thoughts to the banter.
Congratulations!! I hear the Twin Cities Marathon is one of the biggest in the country!
ReplyDeleteOver 14,000 people ran in the Twin Cities Marathon this weekend. Pretty cool. According to Running USA, the Twin Cities Marathon is consistently in the top 10 largest marathons in the U.S., based on number of finishers. In 2008, the Twin Cities Marathon was 9th with 7,979 finishers. Grandma's Marathon, in Duluth, was 13th with 6,876 finishers.
